Back to outdoor play!

Now all of the children are well in and settled, this years group of children started play in their outdoor classroom as part of their morning routine. Whilst the space may be small, Ms Mulhern our Outdoor Play facilitator knows a thing or two about making the most of a small space; creating a range of engaging and stimulating play areas to enhance and extend learning opportunities beyond the immediate Pre School environment. In September, Ms Mulhern added a ‘Water Wall’ and ‘Ball Drop’ areas for children to explore and throughout the week and beyond, children will use the area in small ‘friendship groups’ drawn at random, to play in the area during free play – snack time. All areas promote imaginative, explorative and investigative play, appealing to each individual child’s interests!
