Our direct outdoor space has been out of bounds the past few weeks due to our roof being put on by the wonderful Freddie! We have been wanting a roof on our outdoor space as this helps us weatherproof the area and ensures children can play in all weathers. Ms Mulhern has been busy purchasing and gathering resources to further enhance our direct outdoor area and we now have a wonderful music wall and discovery table area! Another clever feature we now have as well is our water butt, which we will eventually use for our water wall. The children have been back out and enjoying their usual favourite areas and new play areas.
As well as outside, we have also changed our dough/malleable play area and art/craft area. Ms Mulhern purchased wonderful wooden tables/units to bring in more natural materials but also to promote physical movement as we have removed chairs from these areas. Ms Mulhern never rests and is always thinking of ways to further enhance the Pre School and the children have loved the new set ups!
