For our first week of our planning cycle and as part of our weekly project themes, Ms Mulhern and the children explored the book ‘Whatever Next!’ – a story by Jill Murphy. This story is about a baby bear who finds a rocket, makes friends with an owl and has a picnic on the moon! The children took part in a range of art/craft activities linking to the story and Space! The children made their own rockets out of junk art materials, created 3D models of the moon’s surface, created foil stars and crescent moon’s and even drew individual pictures representing different parts of the story! A very busy week, and as you can see by their display, it looks like they had a lot of fun! Well done everyone!
