Last week all of the St. Bernard’s staff attending an exciting training session on Introducing Woodwork into a Pre School setting. The staff even got to get creative and use the tools and materials from the perspective of a PreSchooler! We gained some wonderful ideas and ways to implement woodwork into the setting as a means of promoting children’s creativity, self-esteem and individual development that crosses all areas of the Pre School curriculum. We hope that this year we will be able to start woodwork with the current children and set up a woodworking area within the classroom. Watch this space!
